Web Blog 8 - "Let the Cameras Role"

Wake up world! It's 6:45 in the AM right now,  early as fuck but not a bad time to keep you all updated on what's been going on.  Things have been good the past few weeks,  working a whole lot,  went on vacation to Vegas and been working on a lot of new music.  YOCLIMAX.COM your favorite son is back and better than ever, Summer 2009 is around the corner and we're definitely turning it up to the next level.
This Rick Ross/50 beef is absolutely hysterical!  I have been very vocal over the past few years that 50 has been putting out sub-par music as of lately but no one can deny his personality and charisma is boss. These Pimpin Curly videos are gut busting,  please check them out in the Corner section if you haven't already.  Ross is finished in my opinion, every day he seems to say something stupider then the next, "My freestyles crush Empires",  was a quote that I read last week.  RR is dilusional if he thinks so...  The only thing that sucks is that 50 isn't putting as much attention into creating great diss records as he is with his Pimpin Curly episodes. But him having the power to expoit both of Ross' baby moms, and all the other shit he's been doing to abuse Ross and Triple C's... it just shows that 50 is not one to fuck with.  The only person in my opinion to walk away from a beef with 50 is Jada... which is definitely most fortunate for all of us, cause Jada is a monster.  If this gets back to 50's people,  make a fuckin "Piggy Bank Pt 2" or some shit..
I bought a video camera this past month and have been recording everywhere I been going.  We're going to be adding YOCLIMAX TV to the website shortly, once I get comfortable editing the footage we'll be good to go.  (If anyone can lend some help I'd appreciate it).
So I took the camera to Vegas with me,  which was crazy,  and had a gang of people screaming yoclimax.com by the end of the trip.  We were pushin that shit hard out there,  and I found out theres a decent fanbase out there on the West Coast,  big shout out to my boy Alex and everyone else who is out there supporting the cause.  Sin City is the place to be,  NY is home.. but I could see myself relocating to the West Coast for a little while....
PERFORMANCE UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If all goes according to plan,  we will be hitting the stage in Oneonta, NY on April 18th... More info to come but right now we're working out the details.  Some of you may know,  that's where I went to college and there is alotttttttt of big fans out there.  For anyone who can't make it,  we'll be bringing the cameras out so we'll have some good footage..  So the team and I are getting back on our grind, like we did for the album release party..  Pressing shirts and CD's , and getting all of our promo together.
This past weekend, we rented out a rehearsal studio for the night and started getting our set together.  This was all captured on film as well, and I plan to include this on the first episode of YOCLIMAX TV.  This was the first time going to a rehearsal studio, shit was actually alotttt of fun... As fun , if not more fun than hitting the recording studio... Cause when your rehearsing the hard part is already done, and now your just rocking out to your shit... Icing on the cake..  So yeah  April 18th, get ready for us to bring the house down in Oneonta.. Which if anyone doesn't know, is by far one of the craziest places to party in the world.
So as of right now,  it's all about getting good footage for YOCLIMAX TV.  Now and days it's just as necessary as having good music.  The people want to see your face, your character and all that shit... which they should.  So hopefully by the end of this month,  we'll be getting some more love on youtube and worldstarhiphop.com

The weekend was dope.... I had some drinking I had to catch up on and made sure that I took care of that.  Gonna be gettin back in the studio probably in April to start recording the new album... "Short 'n Stocky"   HAHAHAH I love that title... it might just be an EP but whatever it is it will be dope...

Stay tuned world

Ayooooo!  Whats up little children and bitches?  Im back on my blog shit for the evening!  Mr ClimaX is drunk as fuck and feels like speaking his mind.  I got a text this morning from my good friend Chris,  telling me that I need to blog some shit.... So here you go brother! WELLLL.. Everything is all good,  Im working,  writing,  chillin,  fuckin... It's a track that I been working on for a few months now and it's ready to be recorded and broadcasted to the world!!!

So whats been going on with the world?  A plane just crashed in the Hudson! Great news considering Im terrified of flying and am planning on boarding a plain in less than 2 months.  Notorious the film hits theatres tomorrow and Im really excited.  I have a very good feeling that the movie is going to be incredible. Even though I feel that fuckin jerkoff "Gravy" doesnt deserve to portray the greatest rapper of all time.  He's a fucking 2 bit loser who couldn't rap for shit and tried to stage himself getting shot before a Hot 97 interview.... but whatever...  I plan on seeing the movie tomorrow and I think it's gonna be dope..  Bigggie!!!!! Brooklyn still holds you to the crown!

I just saw a interview with my favorite rapper, DMX ... And things don't look good.. Go to the Corner section to check it out... Im all about people finding God but I feel that X has become a little burnt out due to the almighty crack rock!  I keep him in my preys and wish him all the best.  Hot 97 is killin it right now playin all Biggie and LOX.... Good shit,  shout out to Funk Master Flex even though the fucker never plays my music... lol..

Updates! yoclimax.com is the future

Whats good everybody? It's been a minute , I know I'm sorry.  Blogging isn't my favorite thing to do but somebody called me out on my slackin on the bloggin so I'm motivated to come through.  Life's good,  haven't been working much and I been living the bummy life.  It's been pretty fun but I have a feeling it's going to be coming to a screaching hault very soon.  Probably because my bank account is droppin faster than the stock exchange.  Fuck is up with that anyway, the economy blows.  Lets hope Obama has got a plan, and a good one at that.  Congrats to him and all the democrats by the way,  It is definitely a proud moment for America, we should all be very proud.
So whats new with the music?  Hopefully all of you have heard "Bad Motherf*cker" by now, if not check it out and download it in the music section.  That song was veryyyy fun to make.  It was a release for me, all the tracks I recorded these past few months had to be very perfect because they were for the album.  BM was the first song I recorded in a while that was just for fun.  And fun it was,  I listen to that song alot when I work out and I feel like a bad mother fucker.  Even worse, sometimes when im listening to it, it makes me want to go out doing bad shit.  I could picture the music video to that song being me in different situations just being a dick.  On line at the hot dog stand, taking a bite outa my hotdog and throwing it in the guy's face without paying , then the screen flashes in a very old school batman kinda way "BAD MOTHERFUCKER"... Me walking up to unknown woman and just making out with her " BAD MOTHERFUCKER".... YOU GET THE POINT!
Whats in store for the future? Well right now I'm currently in the process of forming a band.  I've got some talented musicians so far and were going to try to really do some crazy mash up shitt and give my hip hop a more live feel.  Once we start getting our shit together,  I'll definitely get back out there and do some more shows.  Really excited for that, it's gonna be dope.  I'm also experimenting with dance music.  I can't go into detail but things will definitely be very different, after this winter.  A World Full of Mannequins is my greatest work up to date, but now it's time to grow and evolve.  Something most artists forgot how to do.  This winter is truely going to be dedicated to pushing the boundrys, this way when the summer of 09 comes around, the music that we're making is going to be unstoppable.  I know it's gonna be.
I'm hoping all the footage from the album release party will be edited and on the net by Christmas,  my boy Vinny has been real busy but I think we'll get it done soon enough .  I still havent seen a drop of footage and Im anxious to do so.
The Corner has blown up! TC has single handedly stole my own website from me lol.  People now log onto yoclimax.com not to see or hear my shit, but to check out whats going on in the world.  WTF LOL  just kidding TC is doing a great job and I guess it's the reason for this post because........
We will be changing the format and content of YOCLIMAX.COM within the next few weeks.  We're trying to think of a way to make the site more multi-faceted and more of an experience for our viewers.  We've got some really good ideas and I'm definetly open for suggestions.  If anyone has any input on what we could do to the website to improve on it, please email me at AWestbay@gmail.com
Right now were looking for a few good bloggers to add their 2 sense to the sight, so if you know of anybody who is good at blogging and is entertainging please send them my way.  There is going to be alot of different stuff to get all types of people involved.
"A World Full of Mannequins" the song has been placed on the next compilation album for KeepitClassic.com,  which is a very cool clothing website that puts together a CD every few months and gives them out for free to people who buy shit from them.  I think that's a very cool idea,  I've heard the last edition which features Talib Kweli and it's dope.  So check it out and I'll let you know when the CD is available.  They also sell really cool clothes so go on and take a look through if your looking for some new gear.
It's Monday night and I'm watching the Saints whoop the Packers ass.  Which I could really care less about,  my GMEN are 10-1 ... thats all that mattters. Thanksgiving is coming up which means Thanksgiving Eve is upon us... For those who don't know this is the night that has been deamed "the biggest night of the year" in the city, which is such a fucking liee.. It is the biggest night, the biggest dissapointment of a night.  Douche bags of promoters sell tickets to clubs which they know are going to suck because they're are going to be 5million people there, and tell you it's going to be "sick", "awesome" and all other types of good.  This is bullshit , for the past 6 years, I've gone out on this night and NEVER had a good time.  So I'll be drinking on Flatbush Ave, if any of my fellow Brooklyn brethren care to join me.
Thats really all I want to type, everybody have a happy and safe holiday... Keep on the lookout for new music, I think I'm getting in the studio with Parkside next week and we always cook up some hot shit.
I think I might start putting up amatear models on yoclimax.com    whata you think?  New hot girls everday would be a good reason to come back to the website right? Definitely a better reason than my wack music... ahaha  I kid I kid...

Peace and Love

Web Blog 5 - Album Release Party

Hey whats up world?  Sorry for the long delay between posts, I was real busy this past month but it all worked out in the end.  Alot has gone done these past few weeks and I'm going to try my hardest to get you all up to date.  So the album has been selling,  the Release Party has been planned and executed and now it's time to really take it to the next level.  I just want to start my post by saying thank you to everyone who showed up Friday,  because of you guys that night was a great success.  Big shout out to James Starace at the Mad River for allowing me to throw a party in his establishment and also to Nick Russo for bringing all my sound and lighting dreams to reality.

So I had locked in the release party date about a month and a half in advance, but for a while I was just kind of ignoring the fact that there was a lot of work to be done.  So I'd say with about 3 weeks left, myself and a few others really buckled down and made this thing possible.  Most importantly, my two boys TC and Vinny Bonz were there every step of the way,  helping me with everything I needed to get done.  It was pretty much us three who planned out how the night was going to go and what suprises we were going to have instore for the people.  We printed up some really fat t-shirts, brought over 200 free copies of the album to give out,  we booked a photographer to snap pictures at the party,  hired a videographer to get the whole shit on tape, and also had Vinny's cousin, "Vinny AIM" draw a sick banner that we hung up on the wall.  Shit was really legit, I know alot of people planned on showing up to an empty room and a microphone but we made sure that wasn't going to happen.

So with about 3 days left to go, me and Nick Russo (the super dj) were pretty much traveling around the city picking up equipment, loading and unloading his van, and setting up the room at Mad River.  On the 3rd day that shit was looking mad official.... We had lights hanging all over the place,  huge ass speakers, artwork on the walls, we even brought in and built a stage..  Big things poppin, little things stoppin.... Friday we went there early in the afternoon and did a few things and by 3 oclock,  we were finished.. It was then up to the people, to make sure that everything else was going to go right.  So I went home, got a haircut and waited for the limo to pick my ass up.  Was I nervous? Not really.. Anxious? Hell fucking yea.

10 oclock we all got scooped up by the limo,  a nice 10 passenger Cadillac Deville.  Nothing too crazy just a nice classy ride for a select few of us.  Once we pulled off in that, we started partying.  We had a huge bottle of Patron Platinum (the expensive shit) and a bottle of Moet Rose.. Needless to say we were all feeling loose by the time we rolled up to the venue.  We rolled up about 11 oclock and the room was already packed when we got in there.  I was a bit nervous to see how the turnout would be early in the night, and all that went out the window once we walked into the room.  The room was full, the music was pumpin, people were having a good time.. All that was left was to rock the house at the end of the night and we were set.  So for a while I just circled the room, making my rounds saying hello to people and taking pictures.  As midnight approached my team and I started to stay around the stage because we were going to be going on soon.  Shout out to everyone involved... Parkside Productions for always bringing the heat, my boy Gabe for being my hype man,  Mike D aka the Guitar Hero for coming through and shredding,  even though he got there about 5 minutes before we went on,  had me nervous as shit.

But once I grabbed that microphone and we kicked it off.. Everything was dope, the crowd was real responsive, the sound was good and the lighting was dope.  We had planned on doing 4 songs that night, but since the crowd was really pumpin we did a 5th song at the end.  The set list was 1)Invincible 2)Mannequins 3)Think Im in Love 4)As Days go By and 5) Back up.  Each song went over real well, people were singing the words and it helped me realize one thing by the end of the night.  I have some of the greatest friends in the world,  they all showed up and helped me with my vision and it all turned out great.  Not many people could fill up a room with 120 people and throw a banging party.  So all my friends from home, from school, from work and anybody else I know that showed up,  thanks alot I appreciate you all coming out.  You all got copies of the album so just do me one favor and make sure you listen to that shit whenever you get a chance too.

So the release party was a major success,  the album has been doing well on the internet... Now it's time to really start shaking shit up for these labels and get them to realize that this movement is no joke.  I got all the pictures taken from the party going to be posted by the end of this week and the video should be up within 2 weeks. So keep an eye out for that... I'll be booking more shows for the winter and I'll make sure to post that info on the site.

I also want to mention Miss TLC.  She is a celebrity blogger from Brooklyn, who was kind enough to conduct an interview with me for her website www.misstlc.com   Please check it out, the interview is real cool and so is everything else she posts on her website.  It was a real cool experience being interviewed, and I hope it wont be the last time.  Also, another website that works with Miss TLC was nice enough to post her interview on their website as well,  www.neverleavebrooklyn.com,  which is another cool website that has all info on shit going on in Brooklyn.

The one major thing that I've learned throughout this whole experience is,  their is power in numbers.  My whole stategy on my previous albums and projects was to always do everything by myself.  But working like this only slows you down.  This time around, I trusted other peoples judgements and allowed them to become part of the team and contribute.  And things have never been more productive.  The website is rockin, getting alot of hits a day,  the music is out there,  the physical copies have been produced and they look sickkk...  Shout out to Roy at www.chillstrong.com for taking care of all my printing.. Vince Arrigo for taking care of all my video needs.  Adam Sherbell for the photos.... These are all examples of what happens when you get your friends involved, they come through and help you out and get shit done.  So thanks to everyone who has been contributing and I promise one day it's going to pay off for all of us.  Everybody keep an eye out for new music, just cause the albums done doesn't mean Im not going to keep pumping out tracks.. The parties and everything else is fun but at the end of the day it's all about the music.

PEACE AND LOVE
THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO CAME OUT
WE'RE ON OUR WAY TO THE TOP NOW AND FRIDAY NIGHT PROVED THAT

Web Blog 4 - "I quit"

I QUIT! Yes, I Quit!
LOL not rapping don't worry.  But I decided to quit my 9-5 job to pursue other things.  For the past few months, I've worked doing sales for a decent company but it just sucked... I found myself constantly getting hung up on and ultimately coming home every day stressed out and feeling like shit...I'm 22 years old and theres no reason to be dealing with that shit yet.. Maybe one day when I have kids, If i have to put up with it I will.. But then I'll probably become a full blown alchy as well.. Only time will tell..  Sorry I didn't post a blog last week but I actually wrote one and was about to post it when my computer crashed... I was real pissed so I decided not to rewrite it,  sorry.

So the album has been in rotation for about 2 weeks and it's been getting really good reviews... I get different opinions from people on what their favorite tracks are but alot of people have been emailing me about "As Days Go By" which makes sense considering our whole generation grew up watching Family Matters... I personally love that track as well.  A World Full of Mannequins, the song, has been getting alot of positive feedback as have all the other ones but those 2 definitely stand out the most.  If you havent already,  email your favorite tracks and any other feedback you may have for me.  You may not think so but I take into account everything that people say...

It's a scandalous world we live in... Nobody knew who Sarah Palin was a few weeks ago and now her name is on everybodies tounge... And most people probably can't even pronounce her name correctly but know in indepth detail,  her teenage daughter is pregnant, her oldest son is a junkie, and Sarah herself had a shot-gun wedding... Or so wer're told...  It's good to know things about the candidates,  to an extent... And I emphasize extent,  but please dont be stupid and believe everything you read.. And remember that there are large groups of people on opposing sides of the presidential candidacy whose sole purpose is to dig up dirt and slang mud at the opponent... Job Well Done!  To be honest, there have been times throughout the past months were I've been pro- both candidates.. Obama and McCain but now I'm definitely on the fence... So I'm going with option 3... Not voting at all , solely cause the fact that I feel I am not informed enough to make a proper decision... Which is probably the case for most voters, but atleast I'll admit it.  It may sound stupid to some but it is what it is... After writing this, I've just decided that I'm going to post a poll on the site asking who do you think will win the election... Lets see what the viewers have to say..

On a positive note.. There have been a couple of new TV shows that I started to watch and really like.. Sons of Anarchy, I watched the other night and it was fireeee... Solid show on FX, I definitely recommend,  it's about some bad-ass biker dudes who fuck shit up and run guns.. Pretty cool.. I saw True Blood and was feeling that aswell, interested to see how the story develops...  And most importantly , Sand Hogs,  which is a show featuring the New York City Sand Hogs,  and I'm proud to say I have a bunch of friends who do this for a living and are on the show.. ( Shout out to my man Timmy Irwin, Jared and Jesse and everyone else digging holes underground right now).  I recommend you guys check out all 3 shows, there definitely cool.... And how can I forget, Entourage is back! I thought the episode was pretty good, I'd give it a 7/10,  Johnny Drama at the end was priceless, without him bashing that window and leaving the fish i would have given it a 5....

VMA'S 08? ANYBODY??  I thought they were pretty dope, a for sure step up from last years... The host Russel Grand was kind of weak but I appreciated his constant message of peace and love because he sounded sincere about it.  Wayne.. Weezy.. whatever you want to call him was the ALL STAR of the night man... he looked good, got a bunch of awads and every celebrity in that room was on his dick shout out to Wayne.  It is so funny to me because I remember a few years back I was at a party talking to my man Chukk Brown aka CBZ , who is by far the most talented rapper I know, www.myspace.com/chukkbz check him out,  well anywayzz I asked him who his favorite rapper was and he replied without hesitation Lil Wayne... I thought he was kidding... This was right after Carter II dropped and he was still under the radar... And he just started telling me how sick he is and how sick the album was and I didn't believe him... But sure enough I copped the Tha Carter 2 the day after speaking with Chukk and that shit blew me the fuck away... Anyone who hasn't already heard Tha Carter II do ya self a favor and cop it,  it blows III outa the water the shit is off the rackkkk.. But shout out to my man Chukk because he was pumping his shit when he was still seen to by world as just a Cash Money flunkieee...

Weekend is looking real right... Doing my usual bartending thing tonight and Saturday I got a birthday party for my man SideShow (Happy Birthday kid) up at Public House, should be pretty good.  Considering all the nut jobs from my old school are coming out of the woodwerk.. its gonna be nutty... these dudes are animals that just thrive off of eachother and push it to the limit.. my kind of people to say the least.. Come through anybody whose interested...

Well thats it for me, my hands are getting tired.. But have a good weekend everybody and one more thing.. If you like blogs check out my good friend at tyrelgonzos.org,  its a coworker of mine who is absolutley hysterical to read.

Peace and Love

Web Blog #3 - The Day has Come

Whats up everybody?  Today the album "A World Full of Mannequins" has finally been released to the world.  I know I kept saying September 1st, but fuck it!  I had the shit done so why hold onto it for any longer.  It was like a nasty secret I couldnt keep anymore,  so there you have it.  7 tracks, 30 minutes of pure fire... I'm real happy with how all the songs came out.  We just finished that "As Days Go By" track the other night and that shit was fun to make.  It was nice to do a track that wasn't so serious,  just real fun in the studio smoking, drinking with my boys, having a good time.  Parkside blessed the track once again, my boy James fuckin sang his ass off and took that shit to the next level.  If you look at my album as a whole and compare it to most music coming out these days,  shit just does not compare.  I made a point to show the world that you can make an album with out having the typical "club banger" or without a reference to a gun, chain, rims, cars, Crystal... etc... all that played out shit.
So I hope all my friends and fans cop that shit and more importantly give it a serious listen.  Dont just listen to it once while your checking your email and throw it to the side.  Blast that shit while your sittin on the train or in the shower and really listen to the music.  Thats what it's all about. Personally, I just copped the David Banner album "The Greatest Story Ever Told" and that shit is fatttt..... Banner is a real intelligent dude and he is one of the few commercial rappers really trying to make a difference in his comminuty and in music in general. Dude is an artist and at the end of the day you got to respect that,  real recognize real and Banner my hat goes off to you sir.

I'm visiting my old school this weekend so I'm going to be wilden' the fuck out,  I'll definitely have a few good stories to tell next week.  Anybody tune into any of the DNC? Personally I only saw a small piece of it but it was pretty cool.  I heard Obama's speach last night was awesome.  I respect that and think Obama's a good guy,  personally I'm not voting because I could give a fuck on who becomes President.. But its good to see the world is changing and we're all starting to except eachother for who we are , not what we are. Even though the process has a long wayzzz to go.  I just read how Suge Knight got arrested for beating his girlfriend... he like knocked her out, stripped her naked and dragged her across a parking lot.. Shit thats fucked up...  How a dude his size could even put his hands on a woman is just fucked up.  Gotta smarten up, this cat once ran the most powerful rap label in the world and now he's getting knocked out on Hollywood Blvd and beating up his girl....How the mighty have fallen...

My man DMX just got released from prison... Stay strong X..  for those who don't know X is my favorite rapper and it sickens me to see how fucked up he's gotten. That crack rock aint no joke kiddies.. X put it down harder and realer than any MC in my opinion, now the dude can't stay out of a courtroom... My preyers go out to him.

On a more positive note, hip hop is really doing good man.  Wayne is at 2.3 million, Game dropped his album Tuesday which I herd is pretty good. Jay Z is still running around killing shit, Kayne is a superstar, and my man Ice Cube debuted at #1 this week with 70,000 sold which is awesome for him.  Hip Hop is not dead, and personally I think it's going to come back stronger than ever.  Hip Hop is a music of the struggle and now that the economy is shot and peoples moral has gone down real low,  music will be on the rise - you can quote me on that..... People were living the good life for too long that we forgot about real issues, this recession might be the best thing for us. Maybe if these rappers aren't making a million dollars for some bullshit, they'll get their head out of their ass and start making some real shit.  Why do you think Boxing sucks now? Because boxers got too pampered living the good life , making 15 million a fight, they become prissy bitches that don't want to step into a ring with a real dude and take a beating. Same with rappers , they were getttin so rich they didn't care to really try hard and make some groundbreaking shit... Why would you if you could just take a catchy beat and throw some easy-mac rhymes on it.... And sell a quick million ringtones.
HAVE YOU HEARD THE "SWAGGER LIKE US" TRACK?
KANYE, JAY, WAYNE AND TIP WITH MIA ON THE HOOK?
ARE YOU SERIOUS,  THAT SHIT IS FUCKING CRAZY... THAT SHIT IS MUSIC

I still gotta see Pineapple Express, I hear that shit is hysterical.  Step Brothers was off the fucking hook.  Movies in general have been real good lately as well.  It's a fact that has stood the test of time. When the economy is bad 3 things skyrocket.  The arts, liquor and Drugs!
And I know for a fact that it's happened again,  so enjoy the time were living in and make the best of it. Dont become a drug addict but find what makes you happy and run with it,  we only live once.

Well thats it for me, time to get back to fuckin work.  But thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy the album, I know you will. Write me with any questions or comments , I want to start hearing feadback immediately.  And don't worry , I'm going to keep coming out with new music , so digest these 7 tracks and I'll hit you with more ASAP

Peace and Love

Web Blog #2

Good morning world….. It’s 9:20 in the morning and I’m at work…miserable, but whatever it’s Friday and I got a big weekend ahead of me so I’m going to make the best of it. For those of you who wonder what I do, I’m a salesman. I sell marketing research and business intelligence to companies. It sounds way more sophisticated than it really is but whatever, it pays the bills and I work with some really cool people. Considering the music I make and the job I have, I have a knack for talking and dealing with people… I think that’s one thing that most rappers have in common, we like to talk…. Put us all in a room together and we turn into a bunch of yapping grandmas… lol its true… I did my first photo shoot Saturday and it went pretty dope.. We took a whole bunch of shots in different outfits and in different spots around Queens ( I know it should have been BK, but the photographer was from Queens) but were doing another shoot in my neighborhood next week. Yo Marine Park make sure to come through and get in a few group shots. As you may have noticed on the website, I put a few of the shots up but I wont get the majority of them until next week.. They look real good though.. And I finally updated my myspace so it looks much more official now (check it out myspace.com/climax, and thanks very much PC for the help) Jeez it looked so bad for the longest, I think with the new photography a lot more people will be taking me more seriously and have a lot more interest in the movement.

The final studio session is going down tomorrow, getting back in there with Parkside and were going to be putting down some fire as always. This song is going to be fun to make because it’s a remix of the Family Matters theme song, which just makes people smile whenever they hear it…. So it’s going to be a good time.. I think were going to broadcast our session live tomorrow which will be from 2-6 on Saturday ( watch it at jamboxlive.com, click the blue room) Then the seven songs are done and ready to be given to the world. I know I keep saying it but I’m really amped, I listen to the album(minus the last song) atleast twice a day and it’s dope, definitely something the game needs right now. Will it change the world? ….. No but it will definitely be an enjoyable listen with a whole lot of substance.

Has anyone been watching the Olympics? Pretty sick I must say.. Michael Phelps really put it down for the US and if anyone doesn’t realize the importance of what he’s done, you really need to. In today’s world, where the US isn’t really the dominate force that it once was, it’s moving to see an American dominate a sport the way he has. And the gymnastics! Holy shit, that was so dope watching them swing around like their weightless.. I must say I got a crush on that chick Nastia something, I think she’s over 18…. Swing your ass my way if you’d like. Also that chick Alicia Sacramoni was real dope, check out the youtube video of her knocking out some dude.. its pretty fun. Is it me or was the girl from China like 12 years old? That country is fucking crazy.. my buddy just showed me a news article of an old woman in china whose house was torn down for new construction for the Olympics. She then goes to the police station to ask for the right to protest, she does this 5 times (keep in mind she is just asking for the right to protest, not actually doing so). After the 5th time, she then is arrested and sentenced to 1 year of hard labor. She’s 77 years old! And we here in the US complain about the smallest bullshit, Wake the fuck up and realize shit is ALOTTT WORSEEE in other countries. Sorry to go on a tangent, but I can’t stand whiney fucking liberals who complain over the stupidest shit.

On a lighter note… I’m going to KTU Beatstock Sunday! Bring on the freestyle dance music and the duchebags… lol No in all honestly I think freestyle dance music is real cool and I hear alota lovely ladies go to it.. so maybe I can find a few with a deep affection for hardcore rappers like myself lol.. definitely going to be a shit show, we got a 50 person party bus packed out with a bunch of wild idiots lol.
FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’ve just received a call from my boy James of Parkside Productions saying that we have to move our session that’s scheduled for tomorrow to Wednesday.. fuckkk ! the god damn studio double booked the time slot.. but their giving us a free hour to compensate… still fucking sucks.. but I guess I could use the extra time to improve the song so hopefully it’ll come out better. Really coming down to the wire but whatever…

Whatever…. Moving on… Hope everyone has a good weekend.. I’m bartending at this bar Mad River Friday if anyone is looking for a good time. Guess I have a free Saturday now and like I said Sunday is Beatstock! Diamond Girl, Spring love yeahh baby
Were 10 days away and that shit is coming fast. Also big shout out to my man Joey Jez , locked up right now.. Getting out in 5 weeks homey, MPK …

Catch you on the flip

Web Blog #1

Whats up everyone?  This is real weird for me because I kind of hate bloggers but I feel it's necessary for what I'm trying to do.  "Actions speak louder than blogs" thats a quote I once read and I think there's a lot of truth in it,  blogging allows people to scrutinize others who are really in no position to speak on the subject. It gives people the idea that rather than trying to make a change in something you don't agree with, just write about it and it'll magically fix itself... ex. if you hate a politician whats the point of just saying how shitty they are if you aren't going to go out and vote or do something proactive.  Just how I feel and I wanted to speak my peace on the whole blogging subject before I start doing it myself.  Considering I have no label or management behind me, this is the only way people are going to see who I am behind the music I create..

With that said... Things have been extremely busy and crazy in my life right now.  Between work, building this website, finishing the album and all the other things that go along with it, I have been swamped.  But this is the life I chose and I'm proud to be putting something together like this.  The album "A World Full of Mannequins" is one song away from being completed, really coming down to the wire I know... but the last track is so dope, you guys are really going to love it.  It's called "As days go by" and it's a track that samples the theme song from "Family Matters", produced by Parkside Productions and it's a really fresh and fun track that adds a  real good balance with the harder more aggressive tracks on the album. I'm going into the studio to record it next Saturday and then I'm finished.. well sort of. After that track is done I need to bring the 7 tracks back into the studio and clean up and master them, which is going to cost me a pretty penny but it has to be done to get the product perfect and polished.

This Saturday I'm actually doing my first photo shoot which I'm excited but nervous for.  Things like getting on stage and performing infront of people never make me nervous but to stand infront of a camera for a few hours and try to get good shots , thats harder for me. But whatever, I've hired Adam Sherbell, a real great photographer to take the pictures so I'm confident they're going to come out great.  Anyone who knows me, knows I still use the same Cancun picture from '04 as my default myspace picture and it's time for a fucking change.. ahahahaha

The website is coming along good, like I said I've been building it myself and I think it's coming out real cool. Alot of people have been checking it out and leaving really positive responses which makes me real happy. I used a company called bandzoogle to build the site and a cool feature they have is that they let you see where people live who check your page. And somehow like 5 people in Germany and 5 people in Japan have seen the site.. how the fuck? I dont know but I think that's awesome. Goes to show the power of the internet is unlimited as long as you utilitze it correctly.  For those of you who are curious, the album will go on sale September 1st on this site and will be able to purchase via digital download for $7.99 via credit/debit card.  I went ahead and set up a paypal business account so all transactions will be safeguarded through them (probably the most trusted internet transaction company there is) so rest assure your info is safe.  I think $7.99 is a fair price, considering I've sunk around 5 grand into the album it's definitely reasonable.

Some people asked why only 7 songs and the truth is I think that's the perfect number. Now and days artist compile 21 songs on an album with 15 of them being absolute bullshit which kills the whole vibe and idea of an album. You find youself never being able to listen to the whole thing throughout and probably never make it up to track 15... and if you do it sucks.  7 songs thats it, albums were created to be listened to in it's entirety and who has the time to listen to 20 or even 15 songs now and days.  35 minutes, thats as long as the album will run from start to finish. But those 35 minutes are 100% raw and pure. All the tracks glue together to create "A World Full of Mannequins", by the time you listen to the entire thing you will know exactly the point I am trying to get across.  And you've probably noticed I've added a snippet of the title track to the site, and the response has been crazy.. All I got to say is wait until you hear the entire fucking thing! That song is my secret weapon, no rapper has live guitar on their tracks, and only a few people have heard the full song. ( Shout out to TC aka Ted Dibiase for producing the track and Mike D. for blessing it with his guitar skills.)

Well it's Friday and I dont know about you guys but I'm gonna blow off some fucking steam this weekend.  I got my boy Moler flying in from Arizona so where gonna be gettin wrecked all weekend. (Hopefully not during the photo shoot but most likely) And my good friend Matt aka T-Jammm is coming down from the island to kick it as well. Got a nice party set up with a buncha old friends from school on Saturday at this place Mad River, uptown Manhattan if anyones interested.  Thats it for my first blog, I hope you've enjoyed the read and next week I'll write the 2nd edition.  Leave any comments you'd like and thanks for taking the time to read it.
